Genesis Car Finance

The leading uk car finance provider

Genesis competes with established premium brands but takes a different approach to pricing, electric cars and ownership support. Genesis car finance can spread the cost of a GV60, Electrified GV70, G80 or another model, with current offers including 0% PCP, substantial manufacturer contributions and business leasing.

How does Genesis car finance work?

Manufacturer-backed funding is provided through Genesis Finance, a trading name of Hyundai Capital UK Limited. Available products include Personal Contract Purchase, Personal Motor Loan, Personal Contract Hire and Business Contract Hire.

PCP leaves part of the vehicle cost until the end through an Optional Final Payment. Personal Motor Loan works towards ownership without a large balloon, while Contract Hire is based on using the vehicle for an agreed period and returning it.

Current 0% PCP offers come with sizeable contributions

Genesis is currently using aggressive manufacturer support on selected electric models.

The GV60 Pure is available on 0% APR PCP with a £5,000 Genesis Deposit Contribution. The current example runs for 49 months with a customer deposit of £11,800, followed by 48 monthly payments and an Optional Final Payment.

The Electrified GV70 follows a similar structure. Its current 0% PCP campaign also includes a £5,000 Genesis Deposit Contribution, although the customer deposit, monthly payment and final payment are higher.

When comparing Genesis car finance, look at the customer deposit, Genesis contribution, APR, monthly payment, Optional Final Payment and total amount payable together.

A 0% interest rate removes borrowing interest, but the amount committed upfront still matters.

PCP can limit your exposure to future EV values

Electric-car resale values can move as battery technology, new vehicle pricing and consumer demand change.

Under PCP, the Optional Final Payment is set when the agreement begins. At the end, you can pay that amount to keep the car, part-exchange the vehicle after settling the agreement, or return it subject to mileage and condition terms.

If the car is worth less than expected, the return option can be useful. It does not remove other costs, such as excess mileage or damage outside the required return condition.

Read Personal Contract Purchase for more information about the structure.

GV60 buyers currently receive some of the strongest support

The Genesis GV60 Car Finance page covers the compact electric crossover.

The current GV60 Pure promotion combines 0% APR with the £5,000 contribution and an 8,000-mile annual allowance. Excess mileage is currently charged at 7.5p per mile on the representative example.

Higher-performance versions such as the GV60 Magma sit at a very different price point and can have different finance products, including Business Contract Hire.

That means one representative Genesis car finance example should not be applied across every GV60 version.

Electrified GV70 moves the budget higher

The Genesis GV70 Car Finance page is relevant to buyers comparing the conventional GV70 with the fully electric version.

The current Electrified GV70 Pure PCP combines a £13,100 customer deposit with a £5,000 Genesis contribution at 0% APR. An Optional Final Payment of almost £20,000 remains after the regular payments in the representative example.

That illustrates why a low APR should be considered alongside the cash deposit and final liability.

For an electric GV70, add home charging, public charging, insurance and annual mileage to the same budget.

Electrified G80 follows another rate again

The Genesis G80 Car Finance page covers the executive saloon range.

The current Electrified G80 offer uses 1.9% APR rather than the 0% rate available on the GV60 and Electrified GV70.

Genesis car finance is therefore highly model-specific. Current promotional support can differ even when two vehicles use fully electric powertrains.

Business users can access Contract Hire

Genesis offers Business Contract Hire through Genesis Finance, with current electric-model campaigns advertised excluding VAT.

The business pays an advance rental followed by fixed monthly rentals and returns the car after the agreed term. Mileage and fair wear charges can apply.

For the 2026/27 tax year, a zero-emission company car uses a 4% Benefit-in-Kind percentage. The taxable value of the car still affects the amount an employee pays.

Salary sacrifice may also be available where an employer works with a suitable provider. Savings vary with salary, tax band, scheme costs and vehicle choice, so use the actual employer quotation rather than assuming a set percentage.

Company users considering Genesis car finance should take qualified tax advice before choosing a vehicle mainly around VAT, Benefit-in-Kind or corporation tax treatment.

The five-year ownership package has changed

Genesis still provides a five-year unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty on new passenger cars, alongside five years of roadside assistance.

The servicing position changed in 2026.

Vehicles purchased before 1 June 2026 may continue to receive the original Genesis 5 Year Care Plan benefits, which included scheduled servicing, collection and delivery and other ownership support.

For newer purchases, Genesis now offers a paid Care Plan for scheduled servicing rather than automatically including the old complimentary five-year servicing package.

That difference is worth checking when comparing a nearly new Genesis with a newly registered vehicle.

Used Genesis models can retain valuable cover

Genesis Certified cars must meet the manufacturer’s age, mileage and inspection criteria.

Qualifying cars receive the remaining balance of their original manufacturer warranty and relevant roadside support. Older vehicles registered under the previous Care Plan may also retain eligible benefits attached to the car.

Before financing a used Genesis, check the first-registration date, remaining warranty, service history, mileage, tyres and battery cover where relevant.

The Genesis G70 Car Finance page is useful for buyers looking at the smaller executive model on the used market.

Compare the ownership package as well as the rate

Genesis currently has some unusually low finance rates for a premium brand, but the monthly figure is only part of the decision.

Before choosing Genesis car finance, compare the deposit, manufacturer contribution, APR, term, monthly repayments, mileage conditions, total amount payable and any Optional Final Payment. For an EV, add charging and insurance. For a used model, check how much warranty and servicing support remains.

PCP Car Deals and Car Loans provide wider comparisons of alternative funding routes.

Enjoy Finance provides information about vehicle funding and may link to third-party providers. Any quote, application or agreement is supplied by the relevant third party and remains subject to its own eligibility, affordability checks and terms.
